  1. Hi! Thanks so much for sharing your ideas through your blog. It is such a big help to me with my own 3 yr old.

I have a question for you, if you don't mind. I've noticed in the last week or so, my son has really been interested in talking about how we make letters and he will trace the letters on his alphabet placemat and say something like "that's how we make the letter C". I'd love to support this interest for him and help him to learn to write the letters on his own. Just wondering if you have any ideas or strategies for helping young ones learn to write letters? I know this may be a quick and passing phase, and I'm not concerned that he learn to write them all (or even any), but since he's interested, I thought I'd try to help him if I can. I've seen sandpaper letters that look like fun, but wasn't exactly sure how to introduce/use them. I've also seen some things online that talk about the "right way" to teach making each letter, like which strokes first ect.. I was curious what your experience/advice would be. Is there a "right way" to teach it, or should I just let him explore until he figures it out??

Any insight or advice would be appreciated! Thanks again and keep up the great work!
