I bought this train alphabet at the dollar store. It was in long strips so I cut them up. This is the first time I have ever done a letter activity that focused on the alphabet order. I started by asking Caden if he wanted to build a train? He was very excited and I spread the cards out face up on the floor. First we found the engine and then I would call out the letters and he would search for them. As he found them we would put them in order and then when it was complete we sang the abc song as Caden walked along the "tracks". Caden really enjoyed this and we are going to do it again for sure!

Great idea! I'll have to keep my eyes open for something like that at our dollar store.ReplyDelete
Great idea! I think I'll do something similar with my little one. I have train cards with the ABCs on them, but just haven't been sure how I wanted to use them. Thank you so much for the great idea!!ReplyDelete
