Helping Children Slow Down

This is my Jack Jack! He is a high spirited, energetic boy! 040Because of that he some times has trouble slowing down during activities like counting! We worked with this bead toy we got from Ikea. I gave him just one bead at a time so that he was forced to slow down! Notice in both videos how he can’t stop moving in-between beads.

We also did it with colors! He can count higher then this and knows all of his colors but this activity was about pacing himself and slowing down, not about the academics! I love how patient he is with his baby brother!
